Refined Spatial Division and Acoustic Solutions at Florence Health and Care Offices
Florence Health and Care, a leading healthcare organisation in the Netherlands, sought a modern office concept that was not only functional and flexible but also embraced sustainability and aesthetics. As an architect and co-owner of grassodenridder_architecten, Stefan Grasso led the design team tasked with creating a space that would fulfill Florence's operational needs while providing a positive working environment for their staff.
Florence's office concept required an open space where multiple individuals could collaborate, making good acoustic properties essential to ensure a productive work environment. Additionally, sustainability was a key pillar for Florence, meaning that the materials and solutions used had to meet strict environmental standards.
Grassodenridder_architecten opted for carpeting with natural, serene tones and patterns that perfectly matched the project's desired aesthetic and functional objectives. The design team combined the loop pile and cut pile of the Haze collection to subtly divide the space into multiple zones, creating a sense of intimacy and privacy without disrupting the openness of the space.
By choosing carpet tiles, they could also meet Florence's technical needs, such as good acoustics and flexibility in future adjustments. The carpet tiles allowed them to keep the computer floor under the carpet easily accessible for any changes to the installations in the future while still providing a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing flooring solution.
In conclusion, the use of carpeting has contributed to creating a high-quality and sustainable working environment for Florence Health and Care, where functionality, aesthetics, and environmental considerations seamlessly converge.
