Low Carbon Carpet Design
Low Carbon Yarn - ecoBACK PLUS backing – C2C Silver
Both collections are tufted with Thrive® matter by Universal Fibers: a nylon 6 fibre made with 90% third-party certified recycled content. At 1.19 kg CO₂-eq per kg, its carbon footprint is far lower than the 6.68 kg of conventional virgin nylon 6 (cradle-to-gate; Ecoinvent / Plastics Europe). Both collections are finished with our ecoBACK PLUS backing, the lightest in the modulyss range and made partly from biobased materials. Because it weighs less, it uses fewer raw materials per m² than our other backings while still delivering the performance and durability you expect from a modulyss floor, and it incorporates biobased material. Ray and Lume hold the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver level under version 4.0.
Lume
Lume is a multi-level loop pile carpet tile designed to draw the eye. Its textured construction and layered pattern create natural shifts in colour across the floor. Each tile blends multiple yarn tones, producing a soft, iridescent effect that adds depth, tactility and gentle movement to any space. It is tufted with Thrive® matter recycled nylon 6 and finished with our ecoBACK PLUS backing, and is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver under version 4.0.
