What is Thrive® matter?
Thrive® matter is developed by Universal Fibers, a global leader in solution dyed sustainable fibres. With decades of experience and a commitment to circular innovation, they created Thrive® matter to set a new standard in performance and sustainability. This solution dyed nylon 6 fibre:
- Contains 90% recycled content, mainly pre-consumer but also post-consumer

Production Process Thrive® matter Yarn
Every step of the Thrive® matter journey is carefully controlled and traceable:
- Verified inputs – recycled (> 90%) polymers are received, logged, and verified.
- Extrusion – polymers are blended, melted, and prepared for fibre creation.
- Fibre formation – molten polymer is extruded through spinnerets to create durable nylon 6 fibre.
- Closed-loop recovery – any off-spec product is collected, reprocessed, and reintroduced into the cycle.
- Traceable output – finished fibre is packaged and stored with unique lot IDs for full traceability.
Certified Low-Carbon and Fully Traceable
A third party verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) confirms Thrive® matter’s very low environmental footprint. During production the recycled granules are traced at every step of its journey. Polymers are carefully blended, extruded into fibre, and any off-spec material is reprocessed in a closed-loop system. Each lot is packaged with traceable IDs, ensuring full accountability.
Strict material controls safeguard the integrity of recycled inputs. Supplier declarations are verified, incoming batches are tested for quality, and performance checks guarantee that recycled content never compromises durability.

Our Use of Thrive® matter Yarn
